Pawsh Pet Resort and Spa offers full service dog training for you and your canine friend. The types of dog training we offer:
- Group Classes in our fully equipped facility, Basic, Puppy, and Advanced Obedience.
- Private Lessons with your pet while boarding at Pawsh Pet.
- Socialization in Group or Private Setting.
- Behavior Issues can be addressed such as: aggression, biting, fighting, destructive behavior.

Pet Trainer Pat Caracciolo, a professional animal trainer for over 25 years, is known as one of the most diversified animal
behavior and training consultants in his field. He has worked with a variety of species of marine mammals including killer whales,
dolphins, sea lions and polar bears, a variety of exotic birds including parrots and the majestic American bald eagle. Pat often
lectures at schools, training clinics, etc... and has also appeared many times with animals on a variety of national radio and
television shows.
After 16 years as an animal trainer at SeaWorld parks in Cleveland, San Antonio and Orlando, Pat started "Pat The Dog" Training and Behavior consulting in St. Louis. He also worked as a consultant for The Ralston Purina Pet Care Center, managing the training and husbandry for over 1000 dogs and cats.
Pat has taken the same positive reinforcement training techniques used with marine mammals and developed programs for the pet owner.
Pawsh Pet training In-house classes are limited to 10 dogs. Each class runs for 8 weeks and is an hour long. The first night is spent with the owners only concentrating on their role with their pet.
What will the owners learn to teach their dogs?
- House manners
- A management plan called H.E.L.P.E.R.
- Basic Commands: sit, stay, come, leave it, go to your bed
- Greeting strangers
- Walk on loose leash without pulling
- Socialization techniques
The highlight of the class is that you will be taught how to train your dog to do something other then what you learned in class. This will enable the owner to continue additional training at home.
Class Supplies Needed: Non-retractable leash, collar, your dog's favorite small soft treat such as liver or chicken. These items are available at Pawsh Pet.
